Cirillo's RMA in Griffith was built by practitioners, not businesspeople.
Every coach on our team has competed, trained for years under high-level instruction, and genuinely loves what they teach. When you train here, you're learning from people who have been exactly where you are and who remember what it felt like to walk in for the first time.
FRANK CIRILLO
Grade:
5th Dan Black Belt Kyokushin Karate, Black Belt BJJ
Shihan Frank, Co-Owner of Cirillo's RMA, has 35 years of martial arts experience and holds a 5th Dan Black Belt in Kyokushin Karate. As a Branch Chief under Kancho Yoshikazu Matsushima, he oversees Kyokushin Karate's growth in the Riverina area. Frank has coached students to State and National Champions in Kyokushin karate. Frank graded to Black Belt in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu under Coach Anthony Perosh in 2024. He successfully introduced Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu to Griffith and continues to develop his skills and build more classes in the hope of exposing BJJ to more people.
KAREN CIRILLO

Sandan Black Belt Kyokushin Karate (20 years)
Karen, Co-Owner of Cirillo's RMA, brings 20 years on the mat and a Sandan Black Belt in Kyokushin Karate. She helps run the floor at Cirillo's RMA and is a familiar face for new students finding their feet in their first few classes.
MICHELLE BRAIN

Sandan Black Belt (25 years)
Michelle has 25 years of martial arts experience and holds a Sandan Black Belt. She coaches with the calm patience that comes from decades of training and knows how to break a technique down so it clicks.
JACK EVANS
Grade:
Nidan (2nd Dan) Black Belt Karate, White Belt BJJ
Jack holds a Nidan (2nd Dan) Black Belt in Karate and is a White Belt in BJJ. He is a Victorian Heavyweight Champion, NSW Heavyweight Champion, and Australian Heavyweight Champion. His dedication and competitive spirit bring an elite edge to every class he assists with.
JAKOB HILL
Grade:
Purple Belt
Jakob is a Purple Belt who runs the Mat Rats BJJ classes and the No Gi Adults classes, as well as helping run drills and partner work on the mat. He is one of the coaches who notices when someone is struggling and steps in to help them get it right.
